Three new facials for Cotswold Beauty!
It’s been a busy time of late for the Cotswold Beauty team! In early March, Sarah, Natasha and new team member Katie travelled over to Cheltenham for a bespoke training course in order to be able to add three new MONU facials to Cotswold Beauty’s offering.
Established in 1980, MONU is a British company that offers natural, cruelty-free skincare. None of its products or ingredients are tested on animals by the firm, or on its behalf; no irritating sulphates or synthetic colours are used; and only 100% natural essential oils go into creating the aromas that the products are known for. On top of all this, MONU’s range uses only safe and proven ingredients, meaning that even people with sensitive skin like me can use them!

Lash extensions: a newbie’s perspective
Back in November, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to go to the Cotswold Beauty Salon and get my first-ever lash extensions — just in time for the festive season!
The process began with a quick patch test behind my ear at the salon. 24 hours later, I had my lashes tinted. I have naturally-fair lashes, so the lovely Sarah at Cotswold Beauty explained they needed to be tinted darker to ensure my new, extended lash extensions would match my natural ones.
A few days later, I went back to the salon to get my Nouveau Lash extensions. Natasha was in charge of the process, which took around two hours — if you’re going to get extensions done, make sure you’ve got a free morning, afternoon or evening! Natasha was very attentive and made the process as stress-free as possible. She covered my lower lashes with a pad and began the process of sticking, with medicinal glue, one individual lash extension onto each one of my natural lashes. A fiddly process for her, I’m sure — but one that results in a show-stopping effect!
It was so cool to see my finished lashes for the first time. They were long and luscious — I couldn’t stop looking at them! They made such a change from my normal lashes, but they didn’t come across as unnatural or fake. The only person who made any comment about them was my Aunty, who asked if I had mascara on. Mascara was something that I didn’t need to bother with after the extensions, though, as I already had a set of flutter-tastic lashes.
My extensions stayed in for weeks, meaning I was able to enjoy the Christmas season in style. It was a great experience, and I’d recommend lash extensions to anyone looking to give their peepers that extra pop! What’s more, if you have them done by the Cotswold Beauty team, you can be sure of a top-quality service.
